In The Rubber Room: Volume 2 by Ivan Bosanko, rebuilding a struggling relationship is not easy, but neither does the situation necessitate a new lover. A love journey can be made to last by starting over with the one you adore.

Jerry is in adamant denial that a marriage still exists between him and Katey; another couple has been living in their duplex on campus, Jerry has to live with seventeen other fellas in a co-op on campus and neither Jerry nor Katey can clearly remember the last time they were intimate. Katey is however of a different opinion- She believes that the passion is still there, the feelings are very much alive, and their love for each other is incessant. Anything else from Jerry will mean breaking the commitment he wholeheartedly made to her and God before he shipped off to Korea.

In The Rubber Room: Volume 2 we meet a nearly five-year-old girl, Krissy, who has grown tremendously fond of Jerry. But in a turn of events, readers are brought up to speed regarding what may be Jerry’s plan – to look for another woman who shares the same family values and commitment he once shared with Katey. A desire to father his children is kicking in strongly, and readers will find themselves dangling in deep suspense, awaiting Jerry’s decision to either get into a new relationship or continue holding on to whatever remains of his marriage.

Hard decisions, punctured dreams, and compromise are some of the themes that light up this handy marriage tool. It will be difficult for some readers to finish reading it without shedding a tear here and there, owing to the relatable stories which may elicit painful memories experienced through childhood or adult life. The battle of words between Carol and Katey offers a brilliant twist that again throws a reader off course, regarding a predictable situation of a smooth reconciliation. Deeply engaging and stirring is the storyline, which qualifies the book as one of the best romance reads of our times. You will love the unforgettable characters (though they are very few) and a desire to look up book one will be born, for full comprehension of the genesis of a tough love.

Ivan Bosanko’s epic book is loaded with change, commitment, and challenge, and his well-researched fifth novel The Rubber Room: Volume 2, ably confirms that. It is conclusively an essential read for anyone looking for that extra courage to start over with their partner.
